Reminder:
The deadline for paying deposits for 2027 swims aboard High Hopes is 30 November 2026.
All 2027 Channel swimmers should read the swim rules on the CS&PF website. If you have any questions, please seek clarification well before entering the water. A summary of the rules governing the swim is also available under “Swim Information”.

The 2026 swim season aboard High Hopes has now come to an end. We congratulate everyone who bravely took the steps down to the dive platform and swam to the beach, beginning a journey years in the making. We also thank the support teams for working tirelessly to help those in the water pursue their dreams, and the observers who shared in both the celebrations and the disappointment when swims did not go to plan.

Avoiding ships in the shipping lanes is all part of the challenge of channel swimming, having a zero CPA (Closest Point of Approach), coastguard asked our intensions with the vessel “African Hub” we altered course to have a safe CPA and pass astern of the vessel
